Aton Forest

  • Aton Forest Inc is a biological field station, first established as an ecological field station in Norfolk, CT in the 1940s by the ecologist Dr. Frank Egler, and was later established as a 501c3 natural area preserve land trust and ecological organization. Dr. Egler wrote many books and scientific articles on forest succession, vegetation and rightofway management and naturalistic laandscape gardening. It owns & stewards 2500 acres of largely unfragmented forest lands at the headwaters of the Farmington River in Norfolk and Colebrook, CT. Its headquarters are at 270 North Colebrook Road Norfolk, CT 06058
