Course Description: Biol 302 Lake Ecology and Management: 4 cr; 100 contact hrs. Field study of lakes and other freshwater systems with applications to planning and management. Includes an introduction to limnology and investigation of representative lakes, streams, and wetlands of the region and compares the North American Great Lakes with the other great lakes of the world and their stewardship.Au Sable Institute is a faith-based organization that welcomes, from any college or university, students who are interested in field-intensive environmental courses offered in the context of our Christian community. For students from our 50 participating schools, credit is granted directly – any other university student can arrange for transfer credit.
