Give Directions to Station: Flying: Roanoke Regional Airport is 1.5 hours away by car. Driving: From either Interstate 81 or 77 in Virginia take U.S. Rte 460 toward Christiansburg and Blacksburg (take the 460 bypasses around both cities when coming from I81). From Rte. 460 take State Rte. 700 or 613 up the mountain to the Mountain Lake Hotel. Continue along the left side of the lake and beyond for 2 mi, taking the two right-hand forks. Park in the large gravel lot behind the stone lab.
