2002
Annual Meeting, Hickory Corners, MI
Convened at the elegant and busy Kellogg Biological Station of Michigan State University, the 2002 Annual Meeting of the OBFS was called to order by our esteemed President, Eric Nagy (left). The agenda was carefully followed, and all meetings started on time. The Committee meetings drew a lot of interest and were well attended. Business meetings were successful exchanges of information and sharing. New plans were discussed and ongoing projects were evaluated. People had few travel problems, the weather was accommodating and the field trips were informative and fun.

Here are some views of the Kellogg mansion, the dining hall, deck etc.

On Saturday night, the annual social, with a theme of 1920s flappers, was presented by our hosts, the Klugs (left).
As can be seen below, all had a great time. The usual $5,000 was gathered by the non-stop auctioneers.

Before the auction....

Jeff, our poet-lyric, gets warmed up....

"Money...Value.......NO RELATIONSHIP"
(These guys were good....)

Elegant native grasses were highly valued!

The return of performance art– we paid for them to quit!

Sedra phones in a bid while Jeff's grandmother puts her back into it.

The Phrase of the Meetings was selected...
"If I have to sit on a wet spot, it will be a wet spot I made!"
among others. And the crowd cheered on, some in sartorial splendor!

Thanks to all for a great meeting!
